Free Spins on Registration & No Deposit Bonuses in Ireland

Almost every welcome bonus needs a deposit. Of the 10 welcome offers in our tables, every one needs one. What gets called a free welcome bonus, no deposit required, is really a sign-up offer: spins or cash when you register, before the deposit package starts.

That is how VivatBet does it. The 50 spins come on registration; the deposit bonuses follow, on the same page, from the first deposit on. The two are linked: its promotion terms say that a player who "switches between bonus types", taking a sports bonus after a casino one or the other way round, forfeits the deposit offers that come later. Decide which side of the site you want before you claim the spins.

A sign-up offer is claimed once, on a new account. Opting in at registration is usually part of it, and so is verifying your email, phone and, sooner or later, your identity.

Free chips. A free chip is bonus cash rather than spins. In the terms we read, it is something a VIP manager hands to existing players, not a sign-up offer. 7Bit Casino's terms say "Free chips and personal cashback bonuses from the manager are subject to wagering x40", and cap what they can pay at "10 (ten) times the bonus amount". KatsuBet's put the same kind of bonus at 15 times.

Daily spins. JackpotCity and its sister casinos advertise "10 daily spins to win a Million". They are a daily game for depositing players, not a no-deposit offer: the terms say those chances "will expire 30 days after your last deposit".

Spins on a named slot. No-deposit spins usually come tied to one game the casino chooses. VivatBet's are on Jelly Express, a Pragmatic Play slot, and the terms name no other game. So a search for 50 free spins on Book of Dead or Starburst is a search for one casino's choice of slot, and none of the no-deposit offers we can verify for Ireland is on either of them right now. The slot matters more than it looks: its RTP and how often it pays decide what the spins are likely to return. Spins are for slots, too. "Free roulette spins" are not a thing in any terms we have read.

Since 19 January 2026, a bonus offered to players in Great Britain can carry wagering of no more than ten times (Gambling Commission). That rule covers sites trading to customers in Great Britain. It does not reach the offers made to players in Ireland, and Irish law has no cap of its own yet: the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 lets the Minister, after consulting the GRAI, set conditions on inducements or ban them (section 157), but that section has not commenced.

The difference shows in the rows on this site. Of the 11 offers we track that carry any wagering, 10 ask for more than ten times, and the most common requirement is 35×. A bonus of the same size costs that many more euros of bets before it can be withdrawn — which is why every table here shows the Playthrough €, not the multiplier.

The wagering figure is the part of a bonus everyone reads. Bonuses are more often lost on the conditions around it. Here are four of them, each on a row from our tables.

Max bet. While a bonus is being wagered, each bet has a ceiling. At JackpotCity it is €8 a round, and the terms warn that going over it "may result in forfeiting any winnings". At 7Bit Casino the ceiling is €1 a spin. The full first-deposit bonus there asks for €14,000 of bets — at least 14,000 spins, inside the 14 days before the bonus expires. That is 1,000 spins a day.

Game weighting. Not every bet counts in full towards the wagering. At JackpotCity, slots count 100%, while roulette, most blackjack and table poker count 8%, and baccarat does not count at all. A €10 deposit there brings a €10 bonus and €350 of wagering on slots. Played on roulette, the same requirement takes €4,375 of bets. At 7Bit Casino and KatsuBet, live casino games count for nothing. The Playthrough € in our tables assumes you play slots that count in full.

RTP. Every euro of wagering is a real bet, and on average each bet loses a little: the share of the stake that a game's RTP (return to player) does not pay back. Take a slot that returns 96% over the long run. On it, the €350 of wagering at JackpotCity costs about €14 on average — more than the €10 bonus it unlocks. The lower a game's RTP, the more the wagering costs.

Payment method. An offer can depend on how you pay. Betway's 150 spins need a €10 deposit, and the terms add "Debit Card deposit only". The same deposit paid in by PayPal, Skrill or Neteller does not qualify. Where a row on this site says "Not with …", that is the list for that offer.

Skip no-deposit offers, and the spins marketed alongside them, if any of these is true.

• You need the money. Nothing from a bonus can be withdrawn until the wagering is done. At 7Bit Casino, a bonus whose wagering is not finished within 14 days is lost, with its winnings.
• You play roulette, blackjack or live games. They count for a fraction of each bet towards the wagering, or for nothing at all (see above).
• You are hoping for a big win. A Win Ceiling caps what a bonus can pay out, however much you win. At 7Bit Casino and KatsuBet, the cap on no-deposit spins is lower than the cap on spins that come with a deposit.
• Someone at your address has already claimed it. JackpotCity and its sister casinos, NetBet, 7Bit Casino and KatsuBet all limit their offers to one per household.
• You can't send ID. 7Bit Casino and KatsuBet can ask for photo ID and a recent utility bill before paying out a no-deposit win.
• You are under 18. No casino offer is open to you.

Can I keep what I win from free spins with no deposit? Only once the wagering on the winnings is done, and only up to the offer's Win Ceiling. Anything above the cap is lost — "Any winnings exceeding this amount will be forfeited", in 7Bit Casino's words. Both numbers are on every row above.

Do I need a bonus code? Some no-deposit offers are claimed with a code at sign-up or in the cashier; others are added when you register. The offer's terms say which. Either way, the wagering and the cap are the same.

Can I claim one if I already have an account? No-deposit offers on registration are for new accounts, and several casinos limit them to one per household — JackpotCity and its sister casinos, NetBet, 7Bit Casino and KatsuBet among them.

Will I have to prove who I am? You may, before a withdrawal. 7Bit Casino and KatsuBet say they can ask for photo ID and a recent utility bill before paying out a no-deposit win.

Do I pay tax on casino winnings in Ireland? Not as an ordinary player. Irish law says winnings from betting, lotteries, sweepstakes or games with prizes are not chargeable gains (Taxes Consolidation Act 1997, section 613).
